Copper Pitcher with Brass Leaf Top Birdhouse

Here's another from the depths of the junk cave!  I pulled all my spare copper pieces together and used the best to bring this piece together.  It started with a vintage copper pitcher then jumped to a napkin ring for the hole, a copper funnel for the top of a rain chain, and some more copper, brass and silverplate pieces.

Brass Thermometer & Copper Canister Birdhouse

I couldn't wait to get my hands on creating my next birdhouse with this old brass thermometer. I paired it with a copper sugar canister and it took off from there with a candlestick, candleholder and more to bring this elegant birdhouse to completion.

Speedboat Percolator Birdhouse

Here's one of the latest birdhouses out of junk central!  I ran across this great old boat speedometer and I knew I had to show it off with one of the birdhouses some how. A vintage aluminum coffee pot with a strainer from another percolator set the stage perfectly. Throw in some other junk from a license plate and some blue paint and done!

Distressed Copper & Brass Lighthouse Birdhouse

I love copper!  Can't get enough of it.  No.  Really.  I can't get enough of it!

Because of the copper finish on this teapot, it started getting a little distressed looking in the procedures with the solder so I just kept that vibe going.  When I finished the top with the vintage glass doorknob, I decided to continue the tower design or maybe the feeling of a lighthouse with the glass knob being a beacon. I mix of copper and brass parts and modified pieces complete the whole art piece.

Penthouse Double License Plate Copper Birdhouse

Hey folks!  I'm really proud of this "bird tower" duplex.  A lot of thought and patience went into this birdhouse.  This is my first "double decker" license plate birdhouse. I was lucky enough to run across two similar yellow and blue license plates. I focused on keeping the metallic parts in brass and copper with emphasis on copper. A copper sauce pan, copper trays, copper came (from stained glass work), brass napkin rings and a bowl make the body with a silverplate candlestick part and a vintage glass door knob come together for this sophisticated birdhouse tower.  I hope you like it.
