Repurposed Vintage Water Ski Fish Key Rack/Organizer

Hey friends!  Been busy shuffling things in booths and trying to make some dough for Christmas!  I finished up this contraption just the other day.  I love working with vintage water skis and was sitting in the garage wondering what else I could make with one.  The long water ski had me thinking "fish!"  And then it took off from there...

I drew it off with pencil of how I wanted to body shape to be and then started cutting with my scroll saw.  Vintage water skis are very dense and it took time and patience.

I went to looking for some kind of hooks and ran across these vintage hooks in one of my drawers.  I didn't even know I had them!!

The "side fin" is the metal rudder from a different water ski.

The eye is a vintage industrial light indicator.  I got a bag full of these in different colors a few years ago in Canton, TX at the trade days.  The center is glass.

Here's the tail end with my nameplate up higher.  I wore down the edges all around for a more aged appearance.

This creation will definitely keep a lot of keys in check in an entry way, kitchen, laundry room, garage OR office!  Great for a man cave too!

So here's looking at you!  It's available in my Etsy shop and can be viewed at Timeline Antiques & Collectibles Mall in Shreveport, LA.
