Everything But the Birds...
Sunday, October 14, 2012 at 07:57PM If anyone is wondering why I haven't featured my bird photography in a while it's because there's hardly been any birds traversing the backyard. Just a bad several months in the recent past. Hoping the cooler temperatures to come will bring some new life in the backyard.
At the loss of birds to photograph, I rounded up a few other subjects that are full of life in the backyard. I hope you enjoy the photographs below. Nature is always a big part of GadgetSponge. I keep upcycling and repurposing the focus of my work to keep things out of landfills to benefit nature in a special way.

Wow, beautiful flowers!!!
Funny about not having many birds around!
My house backs to a park, and I sometimes think I don't get enough birds!
I used to have a cat... I guess that is part of that. And I have 2 dogs.
I guess my dogs keep the birds away?
Occasionally I see birds, mostly in Spring.
The other day we got blue jays. And crows are the most common birds around.
Cheers,
Hey there Claudine! Thanks for stopping in! Backing up to a park should yield you a diverse group of birds because of the more mature trees usually found in parks. Keep your eyes peeled. And the cats definitely don't help. They deter birds and kill lots of them. I hate hearing the statistics on how many birds are killed each year by domestic cats. Those crows are very interesting birds - and VERY smart.
