Repurposed Vintage Edgemont Cracker Tin & Metal Film Storage Box Birdhouse

Howdy folks!  I've got a new creation fresh from the garage.

I always love getting my hands on vintage metal tins. That's the way this custom piece started. Once I found this vintage silverplate casserole lid for the "roof", I had to find a good base. This vintage film storage box has been calling me for quite a while and it was perfect. PLUS, it provides great, fun storage options for decorating with this piece. The vintage post office mailbox doors fit perfectly on the sides to offer up more compartment fun. The rest of the piece is a big blur of vintage parts and modified pieces!

Here are the measurements...
Height: 17.5"; Width (side to side):11.5"; Depth (front to back): 8.5".

This repurposed birdhouse, along with my other creations, is available in the GadgetSponge Etsy Shop and at Timeline Antiques in Shreveport, LA!

Just found your blog through Junk Market. I share your love of repurposing treasures from the past and your love of nature. Your fountain is awesome!! I am a Georgia girl, but I was born in Shreveport. If I ever get that way again, I would love to see your creations in person. Thanks
