Certify Your Backyard or Property as a Wildlife Habitat!

I've posted this info before, but with all the creatures buzzing, flying, eating and nesting everywhere, it's more important than ever.

A couple of years back, I registered my yard as a "Certified Wildlife Habitat".  That means my yard has the basic needs for wildlife and I actively support wildlife with feed, plants, water, etc.

You can join too!  Do your part to help our neighborhood wildlife and nature.  It's a simple thing and it lets others know they can do their part too.  It's a very simple thing to do and it should give you a satisfied feeling to do even the littleist things.  If you choose not to join, adding a bird feeder, water fountain or bird bath goes a long way in the extremes we face in our individual climates and seasons these days.  Especially with neighborhoods reaching farther and farther out into virgin areas.

So now I'll get off my soapbox.  And thanks to all the other nature bloggers out there for spreading the word and showing everyone what's out our backdoors.

You can certify your yard, property or space on the national register (HERE).
