Repurposed License Plate Wall Organizers/Storage with Reclaimed Wood

Hey folks!  Fresh from GadgetSponge Garage are these creations using over 50-year old barn wood, license plates, and other small knick knacks.  The idea isn't new -- I was inspired by the amazing Donna over at Funky Junk Interiors.  If you haven't visited Donna before, stop what you're doing and get over there.  She's a tornado of creativity, energy, and fun. (HERE) is her post featuring her license plate wall box.

In a previous post, I was able to get some really old barn wood (HERE) and used some of that for these boxes.  Each piece was cut to 12" to match the width of most license plates.

When I start a project, I like to create in bulk if I've got enough pieces.  And usually because I love to buy old stuff in bulk, I've got the pieces!

I decided to put some old locker tags at the top (because I have them in bulk!).  And I've got many license plates to work with so I used a variety of colors.   These would be great in a bathroom, just like Donna posted.  I added a bottle opener on the side of each one so that it could be used in other rooms as well.

For handles, I try to use whatever I have laying around and I try to be creative.  These storage boxes features vintage glass handles, old water ski clamps and I used a kitchen hand sifter for another.

BUY THEM NOW at Timeline Antiques & Collectibles Mall in Shreveport, LA.  OR holler at me directly if there's one you'd like to have.  And I'll see which ones I have left.
